Harmony Wynelands is an 18-acre vineyard located in the
Harmony Grove District within the Lodi Appellation. It is my
belief the owners Bob & Linda Hartzell share a passion that a
perfect harmony exists when vine and wine come together with
undeniable pleasure. Harmony Wynelands 2003 Chardonnay is wonderful. It's a refreshing change to find a Chardonnay that does not conform to the oak and butter laden styles that are typical of Chardonnays. The color is a light clear gold. The nose is treated to pineapple, lime and a touch of pencil shavings. Flowing from nose to palate, in the mouth the rich pineapple flavor envelops the palate in a full bodied wine with a rich consistency. Good acidity gives the rich fruit harmonious support. The crisp finish shows long tropical fruit flavors that are agreeable leaving you with a sensuous overall impression. This is one of several wines from this estate that show very well and is an excellent value. |
