A stand out wine from Wooden Valley Winery is their 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon. They've been making wine in the Suisun Valley since 1955 and this wine shows quality craftsmanship.

Showing a ruby core that is dark to opaque, the wine offers nice aesthetics while getting down to the nose and palate attributes. Aromas of plums, menthol and cedar mix enticingly well with bacon, smoke and spice. The palate has a rich berry and plum flavor. A full body sports fine drying tannins and zesty acidity. With a velvety consistency, this wine has a nice elegant structure, is well balanced and is still developing. This is a top notch Cabernet - and considering the price - worthy of stocking up on.
