I tasted this wine at the 2004 Family Winemakers of California, Fourteenth Annual Tasting. It has loads to offer as do many of the value-oriented California wines in their portfolio. This syrah has profoundly concentrated flavors, color and depth or shall we say a style I really like. Plenty of dark skinned fruit is abound on the nose with flavors to match. With ample body and smooth tannins the concentrated flavors finish with a smooth satisfaction. One note. I do not see this wine listed on their web site so if your by there for a visit ask them about the 03 Syrah!
