| Trentadue's 2003 La Storia Zinfandel is another winner for
winemaker Miro Tcholakov. The wine shows a deep purple ruby
core that fades to a purple rim. The nose is pure Zinfandel
delight, showing jammy strawberry along with spicy nutmeg
and pepper. The jammy flavor follows through on the palate
with pure intensity. The wine is harmoniously balanced, and
has a fleshy consistency that is complemented by fine
tannins. Its ample body and generous alcohol lend to a
persistent finish. This is one rich Zinfandel that will
surely finesse the palate. |
