Testarossa Vineyards is a winery renowned these days for
producing top quality Pinot Noir. To my liking, they also
have a few Syrah wines. The fruit for this Syrah is sourced
from Monterey County of which 300 cases were produced. The wine has a deep ruby red color and the nose is treated to black cherries, peppery spice, tobacco leaf and hints of chocolate. The palate is enjoyable as well with consistent flavors of cherries and spice. The tannins are fine and the alcohol is warm. It is a nice food wine that will not disappoint either the meal or the palate. |
