Rosso Di Montepulciano's (red wine from Montepulciano) can
often be tasty wines at attractive prices. Azienda Agricola Poliziano falls into that category. Their 2003 bottling shows a clear deep ruby color and fades to a light violet rim. The clean nose shows aromas of sour cherry and raspberry along with some spice and earthy notes. This dry wine is developing and with crisp acidity and powdery tannins it can be enjoyed now or even held a few years. On the palate, the sour cherry and raspberry flavors are consistent with the nose. The wine has a nice generous finish and overall it is a good quality wine. |
