This is my second Wyneland Estates tasting and it was
without disappointment. Their 2003 White Riesling was
produced in an off-dry style using fruit sourced from
Monterey. Central coast fruit has been doing well in a
number of varietals and it definitely shines here. With its clear light champagne color, the wine looks young and lively. The nose is treated to aromas of green apple, lime, apricot and the gentleness of musk. The flavors follow through with lime most notably in a light body that has fleshy consistency. The wine is nicely balanced with fruit and posses good structure. The concentrated aromas are fine, sensuous and in agreement. A good finesse between aromas and flavors, the wine finishes generous while lingering on the palate. |
