| Paso D’Oro 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles is the inaugural vintage from this new project headed by winemaker Laura Orozco. It shows a medium clear purple core that fades to a violet rim. On the nose aromas of bramble berry layer with hints of clove and mint that mingle with high tone floral notes. On the palate it sports lively acid with a lean body showing light tannins. A nice balance flows front to finish, medium in length. The delicate intensity of fruit balances well with a touch of earthy minerality. Approachable with uncomplicated complexity it is agreeable overall and a sound wine meant to drink in its youth. |
