| Bouchaine's Bacchus Collection wines are a limited bottling
that are available only at the winery or via their web page.
One such wine not to miss is their 2005 dry style
Gewurztraminer. The wine has a lovely lemon yellow color,
but the nose is where action starts. Its out of the glass
aromatics offer honeyed lychee and apricot along with
delicate spice and even hints of white peach. On the palate,
this medium to full-bodied wine is rich, oily-textured and
luscious. The flavors are sensuous and follow the nose
nicely. Only about 130 cases were produced so buy it while
you can. |
