There are times when you taste a bottle of wine that the word divine not only comes to mind but it stays! I think that is a fitting way to view the 2003 Larkmead LMV Salon. This wine posses an opaque ruby/purple color that is saturated enough to invoke a pleasing sight.

The LMV Salon is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Cabernet Franc (25%), Malbec (6%), Petit Verdot (5%) and Merlot (4%). With such noble varietals and very talented craftsmanship this wine is simply loveable. The nose is treated to wonderful aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries, mint, herbs and hints of leather as well as light toasty oak. In the mouth the plate is equally pleased with the wine's soft acid and smooth fine tannins. Sporting a sinewy body with supple consistency, the wine's austere structure shows plenty of youth. There is little not to like here - pungent intensity and harmonious complexity - of this very noble wine. Enjoy all you can!
