| I recently opened my last bottle of Spelletich Cellars 2001
Zinfandel produced from fruit sourced from Tim & Edie's
Vineyard located in the Shenandoah Valley. The wine shows a
medium to dark ruby core while showing a bit of its age out
to the rim. Aromas of blackberry and spice mix with smoky
wood and hints of tar. In the mouth the wine is rich in
flavor and solid in structure. The silky tannins provide a
soft consistency for the full body this Zinfandel offers. A
nice persistent finish reminds me of everything I enjoy
about this wine. |
