Roussanne is a varietal that often finds a match with its
blending partner Marsanne. However some producers prefer to
produce it as a single varietal. Of those, Ledgewood Creek
has done a marvelous job with their 2005 release. The wine
shows a clear straw yellow color. Aromas of apricot, citrus,
herbs and hints of lanolin remain persistently around the
rim staying with the nose. The wine's ample body is rich in
consistency and is well supported with lively acidity. The
wine parts with a lingering finish and is quite youthful and
delicious. |
