Trying to pick a favorite at Rosenblum is no simple feat.
Their 2004 Petite Sirah Heritage Clones from old clone
vineyards in the San Francisco Bay appears sultry from first
pour and has an opaque purple core that fades to a purple
rim. The nose is full of luscious dark berries, plums,
currants and some dusty spice. The thick body yields loads
of ripe sweetness from the fruit on the palate along with
some chalky, drying tannin. With powerful intensity and a
solid lingering finish, this is a rich drinking Petite Sirah. |
