My second vintage tasting of Gundlach Bundschu's Rhinefarm Vineyard Pinot Noir is their 2004 release. The wine has a dark ruby core. Aromas of black tea and black cherry waft around with aromas of dried flowers, lavender, clove, spice and vanilla. With flavors that follow the nose, the wine's soft tannins are palate pleasing. With distinct intensity, ample bodied and elegant, this Pinot is youthful and parts with a long persistent finish. | |||||||
