The 2004 Wente Riesling is produced from fruit out of the Monterey appellation. The wine shows a medium yellow gold color with good clarity. The nose is treated to aromas of peaches, honeysuckle, vanilla and honey. The rich aromas follow through to the palate producing rich flavors. The wine has a full body with a nice rich consistency. Produced in an off-dry style, the wine has fresh acidity allowing for a fresh clean finish that likes to linger.
