There never seems to be a shortage of Rosenblum wines on my
rack. It stands to reason since they have so many
outstanding wines in their portfolio. The 2001 Oakley Vineyards falls in line with other Zinfandels produced by Rosenblum. Delicious and fun to drink! The wine shows an opaque ruby almost black core that hardly gives up any color out to the rim. On the nose aromas of ripe berries and black plums mix well with floral notes, spiciness and hints of vanilla and oak. The full, ripe fleshy body is powerful with smooth balanced tannins supporting the harmonious complexity of flavors for the palate to enjoy. The wine offers a long lingering finish hardly wanting to say good-bye! |
