There is little not to like about Marquee's Rutherglen vintage port. Marquee uses 100% estate grown Touriga grapes to craft this excellent drinking port. The wine shows an opaque ruby/black core that fades nicely to a medium ruby rim. The nose is wonderfully rich with aromas of black currants, black cherries and chocolate. In the mouth the wine stands its ground with a thick luscious body allowing the rich flavors to lounge about in the mid-palate. Smooth tannins provide a solid structure, while the concentrated intensity of flavors reveals their harmonious complexity. Warm fortified alcohol balances well with the ripe fruit and chocolate. The port has a generous finish that lingers steadily in a smooth and sensuous style.
