Spelletich Cellars rarely, if ever, produces a wine that
will disappoint. A great example is their 1999 Bodog Red.
The wine shows a dark mahogany core which fades to a light
mahogany rim revealing touches of age. A concentrated nose
of ripe cherries, raspberry, spice and perfume excites the
senses. In the mouth, the flavors follow through and are
paired with zesty acidity, drying tannins and warm alcohol
giving this blended red wine more than ample body. With
obvious intensity and still developing its complexity, this
wine enjoys its own masculinity. |
