Garnacha from Spain often times is simply delicious.
Monasterio De Las Vinas from Grandes Vinos Y Vinedos, S. A.
is a solid drinking bottle given a price versus quality
comparison. The wine shows a dark purple ruby core which
fades nicely to a rose/ruby rim showing some youth. The nose
is straight forward with aromas of plums and spice. In the
mouth there is plenty of plum flavor within the lean body
that shows a supple consistency, light drying tannins and
fresh acidity. Overall, this wine is nicely balanced,
offering agreeable complexity and good value. |
