Rosenblum's 2001 Hendry Vineyard Zinfandel is without
question a mouth-rocking Zin. Wearing a lovely shade of
ruby/purple in the core, the wine fades to a ruby/orange
rim. The expressive nose yields aromas of vanilla, deep ripe
fruit, cinnamon and even some gingerbread. The wine slides
into the mouth like a pair of freshly shaved legs slipping
between satin sheets. Rich flavors of currants are delicious
along with smooth, silky and fined grained tannins. It parts
with hearty length that lingers on. This wine should be
appreciated slowly. It's perfect for one of those cool rainy
nights when you find yourself inside sitting by a warm fire. |
