Adelaida's 2001 Paso Robles Syrah is pure hedonistic
pleasure for all of your senses. Take note of the purple and
black opaque core as you tip your glass, and notice the
purple rim as you anticipate not just the smell, but the
taste. Aromas of ripe blueberries blend with chocolate and
meaty prunes. In the mouth, the wine has a rich and mellowed
consistency that is sensuously pleasing to the tongue. The
rich body is harmoniously balanced and lazes around while
you savor this nectar. The long generous finish provides a
pure intensity of intricate complexity. For me, this
concentrated Syrah is the bee's knees! Only 253 cases produced. |
