Mekinzie Ridge is a micro winery located in Oregon that is
following their passion for quality Pinot Noir by sourcing
top quality fruit from some of Oregon's most respected
vineyards. Their 2002 Hyland Vineyard is a solid example.
The wine has a ruby core that holds color all the way to the
rim. On the nose are notes of black cherry and spice along
with hints of smoky vanilla and minerality. A tight lean
body builds nicely with zesty acidity and fine tannins, and
achieves a nice balance. Overall, this is a good food wine
that could be described as Burgundian in style. |
