Tablas Creek is a Rhone varietal lover's paradise. Their 2003 Rose is a blend of estate fruit consisting of Mourvedre 64%, Grenache 28% and Counoise 8%. The wine color is a clear medium orange pink. On the nose, it shows clean light youthful aromas of cherry, watermelon, perfume and spice. On the palate you might perceive a touch of sweetness. Since the wine is fermented dry, this is a good indication of the amount of fruit the wine possesses. With lively acidity, the medium body has wonderful flavors of watermelon and red berries and parts with a long finish. This is an excellent Rose so drink it up now.
