This is an outstanding old vine Grenache from Barossa Valley
in Australia. It's hard to ask for anything more than Ross
Estates 2001 Old Vine Grenache. Fruit and more fruit yet not
a fruit bomb. The wine has a medium ruby garnet color. The
nose is loaded with pure fruit expression of Grenache -
pronounced aromas of strawberries and spicy pepper. In the
mouth is where it shines. Texturally, the wine is a total
pleasure. A fleshy, velvety consistency gives it a sensuous
mouth feel full of flavor that is consistent with the
aromas. With soft tannins and mellow acidity this wine is
ready to drink now. |
