Cellar Red is produced by Asti Winery under their Cellar No. 8 label. This wine is a blend of Zinfandel (60%), Petite Sirah (20%) and Carignane (20%). It is aged in small oak barrels and the color is ruby red. Aromas from the barrel aging are distinct where toast derived vanilla blends agreeable with cherries and spice. The wine flavors are in agreement in this medium body blended red with dusty tannins resulting in a medium dry finish.
