Wonderful Napa Sangiovese that delivers plenty and would
make plenty of Italy producers envious. The wine starts of with a noble ruby garnet color. The wine is aged in French oak for 12 months. The aromas are berry like with a touch of creamy vanilla from the toasty French oak. I detected a bit of earthiness as well from the bottle aging. A medium body wine with flavors of berry and spice that have distinct intensity, yet harmonious complexity. Powdery tannins along with fresh acidity left me with a nice dry finish. Only 450 cases produced so get some while it last. |
