The Castle 2005 La Belle Rosé is produced using fruit from Annadel Estate Vineyard located in Sonoma Valley. This vineyard is focused on Pinot Noir and Syrah as well as other Rhone varietals. The La Belle Rosé shows a rich hue of orange/rose color at its core and fades to a violet/rose color at the rim. On the nose, there is distinct aromas of raspberry, red currants and cranberry along with floral/violets. In the mouth the flavors follow the nose nicely while the lively acidity and fine tannins support the ample body. This is a wonderfully rich Rose that parts with a lengthy finish and will certainly make a Rosé lover smile!
