A distinguished example of a good Livermore Valley Cabernet
Sauvignon is the Stony Ridge 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon. It
looks tasty from the first pour. Showing a deep ruby red
core, the wine fades to a light ruby rim. A deep intense
nose provides aromas of black currant, beetroot, black
cherry and black olives that present themselves with
complexity. In the mouth the flavors follow the nose. Along
with refreshing acidity, dusty powdery tannins and generous
alcohol, the wine sports an ample body. A pleasing dry long
finish wraps up this nicely balanced Cabernet Sauvignon.
With youthful, good and agreeable complexity, this wine
drinks well now and should provide plenty of enjoyable
drinking time ahead. |
