Savannah Chanelle has a nice offering of Pinot Noirs in
their broad portfolio. For starters is their 2001 Central
Coast release. The wine is clear and has a medium garnet
color. The nose is smoky with aromas of cherry and black
tea. On the plate the wine has delicate flavors of sour
cherry. Wrapped in a medium body, the fresh acidity and
soft, smooth tannins make this an enjoyable Pinot Noir with
a persistent finish. Considering the price, relative to
quality, it is an excellent value in my book. |
