Arboleda is a wine label from the Chilean partnership of Robert Mondavi and Viña Errázuriz.

The 2000 Syrah is their second vintage from this varietal. The fruit is sourced from the Colchagua Valley, which is considered to be one of Chile's most prestigious viticulture regions.

The wine opens with clear dark cherry red color. On the nose it shows strong aromas of cinnamon, spice and raspberry fruit. A touch of mustiness adds to its allure.

In the mouth, your palate will taste persistent fruit, a firm consistency as well as a puckering astringency. The tannins provide a potent mouth feel along with a sharp acidity and a hot, long raspberry finish. Slightly unbalanced, the wine improves with decanting during a second tasting.
