When looking for a new and delicious bottle of white wine to try, I would recommend turning to Spain. The Castiñeira is produced from 100% Albariño grapes from Rias Baixas by Bodegas Lagar de Pintos. The wine shows a light clear straw yellow color. The nose is treated to aromas of apple and citrus (lemon/lime). In the mouth, the tangy citrus flavor is paired with lively acidity in this ample-bodied white. While offering a distinct intensity, yet, simple complexity, this wine is generous in its crisp finish. This is a smooth drinking summer wine that is quite delicious.
