Gallo Family Vineyards 2004 Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay is produced from Sonoma County fruit. The wine shows a clear light yellow gold core that fades to a watery rim. The nose has aromas of sweet oak and vanilla that mix well with yellow delicious apples along with nectarines and cashews. Upon first taste the palate is full of gentle fruit-driven sweetness. With lively acidity and a full body, this Chardonnay is nicely balanced. A mid-length finish remains persistent. This is a young and juicy Chardonnay which shows varietal intensity yet uncomplicated complexity.
