Madrona's estate grown 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon is a fine bottle of wine. With a ruby core that fades to a shade lighter out to the rim, this wine boasts a nice intensity of blackberry fruit, cedar and spice with hints of black olive, and cinnamon. In the mouth, the wine is enjoyable with silky tannins that provide a fine drying astringency. With crisp acidity and flavors that follow the nose, the wine is harmoniously balanced. A persistent finish showing generous length, Madrona's Cab has consistent intensity, a developed complexity and is soundly delicious overall.
