Turley Wine Cellars  Juvenile  Zinfandel Mike Taylor Excellent  2001  $20.00
A lovely bottle of zinfandel is the 2001 Juvenile. The color is ruby red at the core fading to a garnet rim. The nose has aromas of cassis, bramble berries, cigar box and cinnamon along with hints of cedar and pencil shavings. Pleasing to the palate, this wine offers silky tannins, an ample body and a fleshy consistency. Lively acidity keeps it fresh as it covers the palate with flowing balance. A bit of age it is developed with pure intensity of flavor that bodes nicely with its developed complexity. Smooth and sensuous overall!
